Dictionary
I have been collecting word lists for years, in my dictionary, words based on Latin and Greek Hebrew, French and German, Spanis, Italian and Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese, with a word or two from Romanian, Swahili and other languages.
Duolingo
On Duolingo I hopped around starting one language after another. I learned that Chinese and Japanese used the same symbols.
On Facebook I jhave joined three polyglot group.
I teach English to English speakers and as a foregn language. I wanted to start a Polyglot group. My good friend Carolyn, a teacher of French and German, had the same idea. As the saying goes, great minds think alike.
I am the sponsor. Carolyn is a mentor.
Our NEW Toastmasters International Club will follow the usual format. It begins with The Sergeant At Arms, opening the zoom meeting.
Everybody introduces themselves. A joke section. Everybody is welcome to contribute a joke about language.
